Information on personal data processing

Vline is an iOS application published by KairosApps ("we", "our"). We respect your privacy and process your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and French law.

2. Data We Process


  • Anonymized usage data: statistics and analytics (via TelemetryDeck). Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the service.

  • Google information (optional): email, first name and last name, only if you explicitly accept sharing via the authorization window displayed in the application, for the purpose of receiving the newsletter. Legal basis: consent.

What we don't do: no advertising in the application, no data selling, no cross-app advertising tracking.


3. Purposes


  • Provide Vline features (e.g., importing YouTube playlists, chapter navigation).

  • Improve the application (aggregated statistics, anonymous diagnostics).

  • Send you, if requested, the Vline newsletter by email.

  • Security and abuse prevention.


4. Google/YouTube API

When you use Google Sign-In to import your playlists, Vline uses the YouTube Data API. We comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including Limited Use requirements. Access tokens are used only to execute the requested functionality and are neither sold nor used for advertising purposes. They are not stored persistently and are deleted after use.

You can manage or revoke Vline's access to your Google account from myaccount.google.com/permissions.


5. Recipients & Subcontractors


  • Analytics: TelemetryDeck (anonymous statistics).

  • Emailing: MailerLite (newsletter sending if you subscribe).

  • Hosting: servers located in France.

These providers act as processors within the meaning of the GDPR, with contractual security and confidentiality commitments.


6. Transfers Outside EU

Some providers (MailerLite, TelemetryDeck) may process data from the European Economic Area and/or transfer data to third countries with appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses).

7. Retention Periods


  • Anonymous analytics data: 13 months.

  • Email, first name and last name (newsletter): until you unsubscribe.

  • Google tokens: deleted immediately after importing the requested data.


8. Your Rights

You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, opposition, portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL. To exercise your rights: contact us.

9. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access control, logging). No system is perfectly secure, but we strive to protect your data.

10. Target Audience

Vline is intended for all audiences and can be used by anyone, regardless of age.

11. Modifications

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will be adjusted accordingly. In case of major changes, we will inform you in the application.
